There are a lot of parent fail’s through out my day. At least if I compare my activities to some of those other mom’s it seems that way. But I feel I have a parenting success when my kid makes healthy food choices.
Last night I had no desire to cook, nor did I have any desire to wait for food to be cooked. In fact I wanted pizza. Not a fancy pizza, just $5 hot-n-ready from Little ceasars. Fast, cheap and easy, just what I was feeling like. Now I thought A. was in for a real treat she usually likes eating at least half of a slice of supreme pizza from Costco. Maybe it was lacking veggies or it just wasnt sliced large enough for her to enjoy but A. had no desire to finish her pizza. After about 2-3 bites she asked for grapes. I was so shocked and also impressed she wanted grapes. Awesome my kid is a healthy eater and I love it.
The awesome health kick continues… today as in most days I gave about 5-10 options for lunch, which include pb&j, pb&chocolate, cheese quesadilla, hot dog, chicken nuggets, etc. But every day her first request is for peanut butter, nanna (peanut butter and banana). Now we don’t do a nice peanut butter, banana sandwich because in all honesty the bread is just useless carbs and calories. Instead it is literally a pile of peanut butter and a sliced banana she can dip in the peanut butter. She loves it! That is what I call a parenting win!
